This setup is for Access Point (AP), the device will act as router only, not gateway (WAN disabled).

Example of using AP is to extend WiFi capability for MikroTik RB750/750G gateway.

More DD-WRT AP configuration guide here.

Hard reset the DD-WRT device, then enter default IP 192.168.1.1

You need to assign the router admin ID and password, enter anything you like.

I personally prefer Router admin: root    password:<your choice>

Click on Administration, system will prompt you to login again.

Setup as follow:

Click "Save" follow by "Apply Settings" when done.

Assign fixed IP to your computer, eg. 192.168.1.9  (must be same subnet segment with the gateway & router)

Enter the device's IP which you just assigned above, eg, 192.168.1.5
