DD-WRT (no IPTV)

Thanks & credit to Rizvanrp for identifying the vlans ID and confirmed the first DD-WRT on UniFi HERE !

If you don't need IPTV, you may also consider to get a DD-WRT supported devices (certain Atheros or Ralink chips only) and flash with the latest build, check out more HERE.

Honestly for me, it's truly a relief as there are many choices now, instead of "just that monopolised & crappy TM's router". Yell
Sincere thanks to the manufacturers and many others out there who have contributed much valuable efforts, cheers ! Smile

June'2011

Around May/June'11, TM seem to roll-out own router called "TMRND".
However, it's still seem to be the same RT3052F chip with some rather unknown firmware & hardware maker, really looks like some kind of home backyard production ...... Yell

Posted on LYN on 30Jun'11:
FCC ID:
TM-RND Router FCC ID: YB5-RGTMRNDGEN
TM's DIR-615 Gx FCC ID: KA2DIR615G1

Looking at those photos submitted to FCC really low quality, really no class at all

Although the RG-TMRND board design & materials used slightly different and it seem to suggest the antenna gain of 3dBi, couple with "unknown" firmware creator, I personally have no high hope on this device .....

Come-on TM, is this the only thing you can do? You guys seem never learn ....

I'm sure there are many manufacturers out there willing to produce better and more choices for consumers, rather than this unknown joker "TM" router.

It's really unnecessary to waste money by setting up RND trying to re-inventing the wheel, afterall router it's NOT TM's core business, and it can NEVER be, period.
