iFive 五元素 mini3 - Android Mini Pad
QuadCore A9 (RK3188) 1.8Ghz, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB High-Speed Internal Storage, 7.9" IPS 1024x768 Display
Design & size like iPad Mini, but it's thinner (6.5mm) and lighter (290g), another impressive Android-mini-pad !! !!
I was using a ASUS Transformer TF300TG tablet when traveling, it was rather heavy though, so I was looking for a smaller device to carry around ...
Happened to be in HongKong around end of Aug, my HK buddy asked me to go along for the yearly HKCC Festival to look-see-look-see ....
Went there on Saturday afternoon, quite a lot of people, also many gadgets & good bargain ...
Some pictures taken from my handphone, so quality not so good ....
Onkyo promo girl ... who was she smiling to ?!
After going around, this was where we saw & eventually bought the iFive mini3
Noticed they also sell Zopo ZP980+ (which I bought at MongKok earlier)
Device photos ...
Got some free gifts during the fair
Size comparison to Nexus4
Thickness only 6.5mm, thinner than Nexus4 & iPad Mini
Power on/off button, MicroSD slot, MicroUSB charging & earphone inlet, everything placed on same area here (on top right section)
The rest of panel side is smooth without any inlet/outlet thing
Touch & feel, casing & enclosure, built quality is excellent !
Booting up ....
May be it's the camera and/or my lousy photographing skill, somehow the following photos seem to be wash-out and didn't really reflect the actual display result ...
The actual display is definitely more dynamic, sharper & clearer than the photo
Runs Android JB 4.2.2 out of the box !
This Android-mini-pad is exactly same size like the iPad mini (even slightly thinner than iPad mini)
So it can easily fit into iPad mini casing
Only this area is not exactly the same like iPad mini ... I have to cut off some plastic here just to make way for those inlet/outlet
The rest will fit just like iPad mini
I've seem a lot of China-made tablet/tab, this device is definitely 1 of the best, a must-have gadget for me as travel companion to watch video & play game
The only thing is, it only got WiFi, no GPS & Sim slot, but that's ok for me as I use it for traveling
