Excellent slim profile & lightweight, good hardware & feature-packed, definitely a must-have dual-sim toy !! !!
Saw this gorgeous in HongKong gadget magazine quite some time ago, recently saw the actual phone in Mid-Valley, it's really a beautiful phone I must say
And best it has dual sim yeah, really can't resist the temptation
Some product photos ....
Understand it will be difficult to find after-market accessories, the standard package also comes with a screen protector & transparent casing, quite considerate
I thought my few months old Zopo ZP980+ was slim & lightweight, until this idol arrived ......
Basically both phones are having almost the same size & hardware spec ...
The idol is even slimmer & lighter than ZP980+
Basically the phone is concealed type with titanium alloy frame, thus the slim profile & lightweight
Left side is Sim1, right side is Sim2, both use micro-sim size
I like the easy to open & close magnet flip cover design, cool
I've used it for about 1 month (left unit), my China colleague saw it like it, so requested me to buy 1 on behalf (right new unit)
What I like about the idol-X:
- Slim & lightweight, cool design outlook!
- Good hardware & features
- Bright display, no problem under hot sun
- Voice & sound quality is good
- Not many bloated software
- Dual sim, both 3G & broadband capability, swap 3G/2G via software instantly
What I don't like about the idol-X:
- Colour display seem to be oversaturated
- 2100mAh battery, can drain quite fast for a 5" FHD display
- Interface software & icon design less interesting
Overall I like the idol-X, for heavy usage, just have to charge more often or bring along battery pack
So with the idol-X, it complete my 2013 dual-sim phone toys collection
