Thanks ASUS Malaysia/Taiwan for the first business router, which was handed over to me early this year before CNY, sorry for taking so long to review tongue-out

Product information & reference:

A cool looking black squarish device with not-so-aggresive outlook, surface design with the " >   < " shape (X-men?!) complete with some small diamond-shape emboss around it, a clean yet unique looking router cool.  It's relatively sizeable weight about 1kg, the 8 LANports and the product name reminds me of RT-AC88 smile :

Both device indeed use the same adapter.

ASUS is serious about making a router for SME business, which see some really interesting features on this BRT-AC828 :

  • Dual WAN - 2 physical WAN ports able to configure either Fail-over or Load-Balance mode
  • 8 LAN ports able to do port-base vlan tagging and teaming
  • Loads of features, useful router and network protection software
  • First router with internal M.2 storage (42/60/80mm)
  • Slightly newer kernel - 3.4.103 on current FW3.0.0.4.380_6947

(See above video for firmware features quick walkthrough)

ASUS also address the antenna falling-down issue by designing a clip-on-lock on each antenna to prevent it from falling-down again, nice consideration laughing
