ASUS PCE-AC88 WiFi Performance Test
(Refer to initial post HERE)
WiFi testing based on iPerf3 with the following setup :
Note : The following test was based on my devices with specific settings (OS/software/version etc) and environment setup. The wireless test results may vary depending on device/hardware/software/setting/environment. This test is meant for my own reference only and should not be used for any benchmarking or comparison purposes.
Test scenario & condition :
- Install & connect the PCE-AC88 on a DIY PC (ASUS H61M-K)
- Clean flash all the routers with current latest ASUS official firmware
- Another DIY PC (Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H) connect through the AC router's LANport and run iPerf3 as server, AntiVirus & Windows Firewall turn-off, no other apps running
- Both PCs use current latest iPerf3.1.3
- Connect the PCE-AC88 wireless to the AC router, one band at a time (2.4GHz follow by 5GHz)
- Those AC routers wireless settings are still the same as per my recent test HERE
- PC spec which is running iPerf3 server behind the AC router as follow :
On RT-AC68U :
On RT-AC87U :
On RT-AC88U :
On RT-AC3200 :
On RT-AC5300 :
By far, the most geng 劲 (powerful) wireless throughput I've ever tested up to this moment
My PC which is running the iPerf3 server only has a single LANport connect to those AC routers with max speed of 1Gbps. Looking at the impressive throughput test especially on the RT-AC5300 @5GHz, I believe this monster should be able to run beyond the 1Gbps mark ...
A must-have toy if you intend to max out these AC routers potential
