ASUS USB-AC68 WiFi Performance Test

WiFi testing based on iPerf3 with the following setup :

Note : The following test was based on my devices with specific settings (OS/software/version etc) and environment setup.  The wireless test results may vary depending on device/hardware/software/setting/environment.  This test is meant for my own reference only and should not be used for any benchmarking or comparison purposes.

Test scenario & condition :

• Install & connect the USB-AC68 on a DIY PC (GA-H170N-WiFi) 
• Clean flash all the routers with current latest ASUS official firmware
• Another DIY PC connect through the router's LANport and run iPerf3 as server, AntiVirus & Windows Firewall turn-off, no other apps running
• The router is connected to UniFi internet (both IPv4 & IPv6) during testing
  
• Both PCs use current latest iPerf3.1.3
• Connect the USB-AC68 wireless to the router, run iPerf3 as client to the iPerf3 server, one band at a time (2.4GHz follow by 5GHz)

Some of the highest iPerf3 result which is more than ~7xxMbps :

I'm quite surprised with the result, I wasn't expect this little USB dongle can hit that kind of througput, it did well especially on parallel test @5GHz.  I believe the recent new firmware released by ASUS for most of the modern AC routers might also beef up the AC routers performance.

So, don't be fooled by the size, this little chilli padi will complete your modern AC router, a must-have dongle for me
