D-Link DIR-895L (Rev.A1) Wireless Performance Test 

(Initial post HERE )

WiFi testing based on iPerf3 with the following setup :

Note : The following test was based on my devices with specific settings (OS/software/version etc) and environment setup.  The wireless test results may vary depending on device/hardware/software/setting/environment.  This test is meant for my own reference only and should not be used for any benchmarking or comparison purposes.

 

The router's FW version & wireless setup as follows:

Test scenario & condition :

  • PC & laptop run on current latest Windows 10 64-bit with up-to-date updates
  • For PC & laptop uses current latest iPerf3.1.3
  • For mobile device uses current latest HE app
  • 1 PC connect to the router's LANport and run iPerf3 as server, AntiVirus & Windows Firewall turn-off, no other apps running
  • Each PC/laptop/mobile device will connect to the wifi, one device one band at a time, then run iPerf3 as client to the iPerf3 server

Average 2G performance only, but really good & consistent 5G performance !
Run iPerf3 Parallel+Reverse test on PC Gigabyte GA-H170N-WiFi mobo with the onboard stock Intel AC8260 radio hit over 6xxMbps, one of the highest result I've ever get surprised

Run iPerf3 Parallel+Reverse test on OnePlus3 (A3003) mobile hit over 3xxMbps, not bad laughing
