During my recent short trip to Singapore, I assisted one of my good friend in Singapore to setup/replace the stock SingTel Fibre router for the 100/50Mbps (Download/Upload) package.

The Mio-TV HD quality is also impressive 
Note: My friend is using a LG 55LM6200 3D LED, I help him calibrate the setting/colour mostly refer HERE with some adjustment.
One of my good friend in Singapore subscribed to SingTel Fibre exStream 100/50Mbps with Mio-TV package around mid of last year 2012.
He wants to replace the stock router for better performance & control, so I help him during my recent trip to Singapore around end of Mar'2013.
This is my first hands-on experience with the SingTel Fibre router replacement 
Here's the equipment he got from SingTel, a ZTE ZXA10 F620 GPON BTU and a Pace A5520N router gateway.
Initially I was testing/playing with the SingTel Fibre connection with my toys without knowing SingTel does check/verify on router's MAC address.
I didn't manage to get the internet works, the IPTV was working though, but soon everything was lock out, completely no internet & IPTV !
Upon checking I noticed SingTel actually verify user's connection by the router's MAC address 
So in order to replace the SingTel Fibre stock router, it's important to find out your original router's MAC address.
SingTel Fibre uses the following vlans :
Vlan.10 = Internet (Auto DHCP verify by device's MAC address)
Vlan.20 = IPTV (Mio-TV)
Vlan.30 = VoIP
Vlan.40 = Use for some kind of remote management, might be TR069 or something, not important for me
Pace Router
This is my friend's stock router named Pace.
To access the router, connect PC to 1 of the device's LANport, type IP address: 192.168.1.254 ,no password require, should see something like this:
Navigate and find the Connection Details section, it will show the stock router's MAC address as follows
Write this MAC address down to use for router's replacement later.
2WiRE Router
Another Singapore friend of mine, his SingTel Fibre router named 2WiRE
To access the router, connect PC to 1 of the device's LANport, type IP address: 192.168.1.254 ,
I remember it prompted for password, no worry just click connect/login, should see something like this:
Navigate to Settings --> Broadband --> Status section, it will show the stock router's MAC address as follows
Write this MAC address down to use for router's replacement later.
Note for VoIP
Since SingTel Fibre implementation of VoIP is on the stock router itself, and most common retail routers out there do not have the RJ11 port for VoIP.
To replace router and still want to continue using the VoIP, I think can do it either by :
- Get an ATA capable device with RJ11 port (Not tested yet)
- Require SIP account details
- Long ago I wanted to test this method with P1 (see HERE), but eventually I cancelled P1, long story though ...
...
- Continue using the stock router
- Need the new router to runk out vlan.30 using 1 of the LANport
- Connect it back to the stock router's WAN
- Continue to use the stock router's RJ11 port for phone
- Turn-off stock's router WiFi
Since I didn't have the chance to test on method 1, I help my Singapore friend using method 2.
Navigate to Settings --> LAN section, untick to disable the wireless as follows:

Due to my busy schedule and rush trip, I only managed to setup/tested the following routers :
- ASUS RT-N56U (with Padavan custom built firmware)
- TP-Link TL-WR1043ND ver1.8 (with OpenWRT firmware)
- ASUS RT-N15U (with stock ASUSWRT)
